Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about co-ownership, farm access, investment opportunities, and how to get involved with My Little Farm.

What is co-owning membership at My Little Farm?

Our membership allows you to become a stakeholder in My Little Farm, providing access to the farm's produce, land, and community. You receive share ownership in the farm equal to 50m² of land, without the day-to-day management responsibilities.

-

Does co-ownership provide me with my own plot of land?

No, co-ownership grants you a share in the overall farm, not a specific plot. Our farms operate as integrated ecosystems, so co-owners collectively own a portion of the entire farm rather than individual parcels.

-

How does co-ownership differ from traditional membership?

Unlike a traditional membership, co-ownership gives you a stake in the farm itself. You become a shareholder and gain the ability to directly influence the farm’s future. Co-ownership also gives you access to more exclusive benefits and a deeper connection to the farm’s operations.

-

Do I need to manage the farm as a co-owner?

No, co-ownership lets you enjoy farm ownership without daily management. However, you are welcome to participate in farming activities and events if you wish.

-

How long is my membership valid for?

You will remain a co-owner for as long as My Little Farm continues to exist. Following a minimum period of 12 months, you can sell your co-ownership space if you choose to.

-

Are membership spaces limited?

Yes. There are a maximum number of co-owning membership spaces that exist based on the area of farmland we own. This will not increase. There will be more membership spaces released as additional farmland is purchased.

-

Can membership be passed on to family members?

Yes, membership can be passed on to family members, making it a legacy for future generations.

-

Can co-owners influence decisions about the farm?

How does My Little Farm approach food security for its members?

At My Little Farm, food security is a core part of our mission. We own our farmland outright and limit our membership base according to the amount of farmland we manage. This allows us to maintain sustainable production levels and ensure that our members has access to ethically produced food from the farm.

-

How does My Little Farm enhance food security beyond its own farmland?

In addition to managing our own farmland, we work with and invest in partner farms that align with our farming principles. This collaboration allows us to increase the level of security for our members by diversifying our sources of produce. These partner farms adhere to the same ethical and regenerative practices, ensuring that we can continue providing food even if production is temporarily impacted on our own farm.

-

Do members receive priority access to farm produce?

Yes, as a member of My Little Farm, you receive priority access to our farm's seasonal produce and goods. This ensures that our members benefit from a reliable source of food, and we prioritise our co-owners’ needs over any external sales. This priority access is designed to provide a higher level of food security for all members.

-

Can My Little Farm guarantee continuous food availability?

While we are committed to providing a consistent supply of food, there are natural factors beyond our control—such as adverse weather, pests, or disease outbreaks—that may impact production. For this reason, we cannot guarantee uninterrupted availability of food, but our priority is always to serve our members first during any disruptions.

-

What happens in the event of food supply disruptions?

In the event of any disruptions, we will notify members promptly and take steps to mitigate the impact. This could involve offering alternative products or solutions to support your food needs. Because we limit our membership based on the land we own, we are able to manage supply more effectively to minimise the risk of shortages.

-

Does My Little Farm provide compensation for food shortages?

No, we cannot provide compensation for any disruptions or shortages in food availability. While we strive to maintain consistent access, external factors may occasionally cause interruptions. Our commitment to ethical and regenerative farming practices ensures that we are doing everything possible to maintain a steady supply of produce to our members.
