A whole-farm food box, delivered nationwide.

A real farm, and the people we trust.

Vegetables, heritage-breed meat, pasture-raised eggs, dairy, sourdough, and pantry staples — from our Sussex farm and a small network of regenerative producers we work with directly.

what's inside

A dinner-table worth of real food.

Eight things, drawn straight from the week's harvest, the laying flock, the pasture, and the pantry. A single delivery — enough to cook a Sunday lunch, a weekday supper, and a slow breakfast.

A typical Taster Box — seasonal vegetables, heritage-breed meat, eggs, milk, butter, and sourdough
  • Seasonal vegetables

A handful of what's strongest on the land this week — roots, leaves, and the seasonal hero (asparagus in spring, tomatoes in summer, cavolo nero in winter).

  • A bunch of fresh herbs

Cut the day before delivery. Enough for a week's cooking.

  • A heritage-breed meat cut

    Pasture-raised and slow-grown. A proper Sunday-lunch centrepiece.

  • Half a dozen eggs

From our heritage hens — laid this week, sized as nature sized them.

  • Milk & butter

From cows raised at a natural pace — fuller, slower, more like dairy used to taste.

  • A sourdough loaf

Baked the morning it ships. Stone-ground flour, a long ferment, a real crust.

  • This week's surprise

A preserve, a ferment, or something from the forest garden — whatever the week is giving.

  • A note from the farm

What was harvested, when, by whom. Cooking notes for the week's hero. The farm in your hands, in plain English.

  • Exact contents vary with the season — the box reflects what the land is giving this week, not a fixed grocery list. If anything is unavailable, we replace it with something of equal or greater value from the farm.

This is a single delivery — the simplest way to meet the farm. If the food lives up to the story, becoming a Steward is the natural next step.

why it tastes different

Three reasons it doesn't taste like the supermarket.

No synthetic chemicals. No industrial shortcuts. No aggregated supply chain. The difference shows up on the plate — three things at a time.

Vegetables grown on living soil

reason one

It tastes like food again.

A carrot is only as good as the soil it's grown in. We build soil microbiology through composting, cover cropping, and rotation — so the food carries the nutrient density the soil holds. Vegetables that taste like vegetables. Eggs with yolks that stand up. Dairy with depth.

Beyond organic. No herbicides, no pesticides, no synthetic inputs — ever.

Heritage breed cattle on pasture

reason two

Raised the way animals should be raised.

Heritage breeds, slow-grown on pasture. Strong immunity from good forage, fresh air, and room to move — not pharmaceutical shortcuts. Meat with structure and flavour. Eggs from hens that follow the light, not a production schedule.

No routine antibiotics. No growth promoters. No feedlot finish.

The farm landscape — pasture, hedgerow, wildflower

reason three

The kind of farm you'd want to know.

Everything you eat comes from a single farm — soil, animals, orchards, hedgerows, team. Not aggregated from fifty suppliers. You can come and see it. You can meet the people growing it. You can taste the place in the food.

One farm in Sussex, tended since 2021. Open to members year-round.

The full story of how we farm — the practices, the principles, the slow work that makes the difference — sits on its own page.

if you want this every week

There's a way to belong, not just buy.

Most of the people who try a Taster Box end up wanting the food regularly. The way to get it is to become a Steward — but Stewardship works differently from a weekly subscription.

you decide

Eat the way you want to eat.

Stewardship gives you a monthly Farm Credit balance to spend across the farm shop — weekly, fortnightly, monthly, or whenever the larder's low. No fixed box. No food you didn't want.

a real stake

A piece of land in your name.

Every year you remain a Steward, a piece of British farmland is added to your holding in the Community Land Registry — recorded, dated, kept for you. A stake that compounds quietly.

a place to belong

A farm, a community, a rhythm.

The Thursday community calls, the seasonal gatherings, the people on the other side of the receipt. Stewardship is the food, and what surrounds it.

Stewardship starts at £10/month. The Harvest tier — full Farm Credit, weekly food, the whole network — is £195/month.
